CAKE

Older son and I went to see them a couple of years ago, when they played the Royal Oak Music Theater, in Royal Oak, MI (a burb of DEtroit). We were blessed that they traveled so near here for a tour. They were promoting their new CD, Pressure Chief (as in B*sh, you rotten SOB, what kind of f*cked up mess have you gotten us into?)

The music is alternative and precise. The lyrics are intelligent and narrative. Lead vocal dude is a god. The rest of the crew are demi-gods (no offense meant to the demi-gods!)
